This is a 40-hour Texas Adjusters
Pre-licensing course approved by the Texas Department of
Insurance as an alternative method of obtaining your Texas Adjusters Property &
license. The course consists of on-line reading assignments with quizzes, a
downloadable 10 hour self study reading assignment, plus an on-line proctored
150 question final examination. This course must be completed within two years of registration.
Once your registration has been processed, start this course log in by entering
your password and last name then click [Search] and a new screen will appear.
Click [Details] along side the appropriate course title and it will develop the
unit study material. Allow a few minutes for this section to appear. The
on-line study unit materials and quizzes
can not be printed. The 30-hour on-line study section will cover the course
materials required to prepare you for the final examination. There are 120 units
with a five question quiz at the end of each unit. To progress from one unit to
the next you must pass the quiz by answering four of the five questions
correctly. During the quiz you can not backup to find the answer in the study
materials. When you complete the quiz, the system will show you your answer, the
correct answer and an explanation of the correct answer.
Upon completing the on-line study section, you must download the
self-study manual that is to be used
in preparing for the final examination. This manual contains all the material
you read in the on-line section. You must spend at least 10 hours reading and
studying the manual to prepare for the final examination. The system will enroll
you in a second Texas Property/Casualty Pre-licensing course located in your [Student
Record]. Click [Details] along side the course title and you will see the
textbook download button and the final examination button. When you start your
final examination you are confirming to the Texas Department of Insurance you
have met the necessary self-study hours in preparing for the examination.
The last part of the course is the final
examination. You must complete a proctored
closed-book final examination which consists of 150 multiple
choice questions. You have a maximum time of three hours to complete the
examination. The proctor must register on-line at www.cceducation.com - [Proctor
Registration] and obtain their proctor code. The proctor may NOT be a family
member, immediate supervisor or an employee.
When you are ready to take your final examination, with your proctor, start this
course log in by entering your password and last name then click [Search] and a
new screen will appear. Click [Details] on the appropriate course title and then
click the [Take the Exam] button. The proctor will be required to log in at the
start of the examination and log off when you complete the examination. At the
end of the examination the proctor will be required to log out. The computer will then grade your
exam and provide you with the results. You need 70% on your final examination to
receive your adjuster course certificate which will be mailed to you. If you
fail your exam, you may take a second examination without an additional charge.
When you receive your course certificate you need to apply with the Texas
Department of Insurance for your license. The Texas Department of Insurance will
provide you with the appropriate application materials and instructions. They

If you are a resident of Texas you are eligible to take this
If you are a state other than Texas and your home state does
not license adjusters your are eligible to take this course.
Your resident State offers the
exact license as Texas you are not eligible to take this course.
Reciprocity licensing will be used if
a home state license is available.
